Mount Tabor United Methodist Church has created a unique and awesome presentation that will definitely be of special interest to you. The church near Madison, North Carolina is opening its doors for everyone to come, see and hear THE TALKING MURALS.
Three large murals have been painted on the inside walls of the 119-year old building. You will be inspired by the life-size Biblical characters as the Gospels of Jesus Christ unfold before you in 3 stories from the Bible. Experience the presentation in a new and exciting way with computerized lighting, sound effects and narrations. The presentation is sure to give you an awesome feeling of reverence.
The 30 minute dynamic production is well worth your time to visit! You'll see and hear Christ's Ascension to Heaven, The Healing of the Blind, and Jesus Knocking at the Door.

The admission is FREE TO ALL. Everyone is welcome - tour buses, church vans, and individual travelers. Special interest to large bus tour groups: We welcome you to make Mount Tabor Church your rest stop. You can enjoy The Talking Murals - a tribute to Jesus Christ. There is ample parking, rest rooms, drinking water and a children's playground. No reservations required. A host will be at the site to greet you when time permits.

The paintings show the talent of North Carolina artist, Peg Dufresne, whose expertise in her field is readily apparent as you walk into the church.
The accompanying narration and music are performed by Madison, North Carolina's own "The Hoppers" and Britt Warren. The Hoppers are known throughout the United States, Canada and abroad as one of Southern Gospel Music's favorite singing groups!. Britt Warren's musical talents and jingles are also well known throughout the music industry. Vocals and music were produced at the Farm Recording Facility and Saltmine Productions, in Madison, NC.

While in the area, visit Historic Downtown Madison, with its quaint specialty shops, restaurants, big 1919 town clock, museum, and historical homes. From Mount Tabor United Methodist Church, go north on Highway 220 about 4 miles to the Madison exit. Follow Business Highway 220, cross the Dan River and take a right at the next stoplight and you are there!
